Tanzanian commerce, made easier

myDuka connects local shops with customers across Tanzania. We give vendors the tools to sell online, and shoppers a trusted place to discover nearby stores, in Kiswahili and English, with prices in Tanzanian shillings.

Our aim

Our main aim is to make digital commerce practical for everyday Tanzanian businesses and their customers. Too many shops still rely only on walk-ins and WhatsApp threads. myDuka turns that into a proper online shop with products, stock, orders, and conversations in one place, while shoppers can browse, order, and message vendors without leaving the platform.

How myDuka works

myDuka is one platform with two audiences. Vendors run their business with storefront software and the myDuka Vendor app. Shoppers discover those shops through the myDuka Shop marketplace app and the public directory on myduka.co.tz. Each vendor keeps their own storefront (a myduka.co.tz address or a custom domain) and remains the seller of record.

For shop owners

myDuka Vendor

myDuka Vendor is the seller app, built so you can manage your shop from your phone. Create and update products, track stock, receive and fulfil orders, set delivery areas and payment methods, message customers, and handle billing and store settings. Pair it with your web dashboard and your public storefront so customers can find you online day or night.

  • Products, categories, stock and variations
  • Orders, delivery locations and payment methods
  • Customer chat and store health nudges
  • Web dashboard plus your own storefront URL

For shoppers

myDuka Shop

myDuka Shop is the marketplace app for people who want to buy from Tanzanian stores. Browse vendors and products, save favourites, place orders, follow shops you trust, and message sellers directly. It is how local commerce shows up in your pocket, from Dar es Salaam and beyond.

  • Browse shops and products from local vendors
  • Save favourites and place orders in one app
  • Message vendors about products and orders
  • Discover verified and marketplace-listed stores

Web storefronts and the marketplace

Every vendor gets a digital storefront on the web. Shoppers can also explore shops through the public vendor directory on myDuka. That mix of personal storefronts plus a shared marketplace helps small businesses look professional online while remaining easy to find.

Vendors are the sellers of record

Each vendor is responsible for their products, prices, fulfilment, returns and customer service. myDuka provides the software and marketplace; the shop owner remains the merchant you buy from. A verified badge means myDuka approved that vendor for marketplace listing. It is not a guarantee of every product or transaction.
